Total Surrender

Read Mark 14:1 through 16:20

Published: Sep 24, 2017

“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will” (Mark 14:36).

Knowing His time and reason for coming to earth was coming to an end, Jesus took His disciples to the place called Gethsemane. As He prayed a prayer of total surrender in the midst of a difficult journey, He was overwhelmed with great sorrow.

Are you under pressure to make a right choice at home, work, or in a relationship? When you’re challenged with a difficult decision, do you make the right choice to please God? Jesus teaches us to live our lives focusing on others. God’s love for humanity was so deep He was willing to surrender everything for those He loved. May our love for Christ be so deep that we are willing to do the same. When you’re faced with problems and pressures, choose to do the right thing and totally surrender to the Word and will of God and trust Him for the results.

Prayer Suggestion: O Lord, let my love for You be seen by the way I trust You in the trials I face.
